White and Gold Bridal Shower | Hamilton ON

This romantic and dreamy, white and gold bridal shower inspiration is a modern take on the 19th century period. Location – a beautiful Dundurn Castle in Hamilton ON. The location itself sets the ton for the inspiration behind this styled photoshoot. That and the fact that we all (creatives behind this project), are huge Jane Austen and Bridgerton fans.

We wanted to infuse the traditional setting with a touch of modern. This has translated into a palette of fresh pastel tones, use of soft lines, and modern gilded touches. Fiorella Floral Design created soft centrepieces. Paying a homage to the 19th century England, they were lush with roses, scabiosa and dahlias. And just as the gardens of the period accentuated with fresh juicy fruit. By Catalfo created a gown with empire waist and layers of white silk – a perfect fit for our model Zoe. Vivian Lyttle and Simply Beautiful Decor selected all the decor pieces creating this cohesive white and gold swoon worthy bridal shower look.

I have created personal mini cakes for each plate setting. The design challenge – creating huge ‘Wow!’ factor on a compact scale. The modern aspect of the theme comes through the use of 24kt gold leaf foil. My nod to the 19th century is the mother or pearl trim finish at the bases of the white and gold bridal shower cakes.
