3. Once you are decided to move forward a deposit is required to save the date. When the order is confirmed with the deposit payment the proper cake sketch is provided (if applicable).
4. One month prior to your event date, the balance of your payment is required. Based on your invoice details, I will arrange to drop off your cake at your event and make sure that it is picture perfect

Full setup packages start at $1,600+HST and include a hassle free full setup experience. The treats come in a variety of flavours and are decorated to match your event theme, décor and colour scheme.
Included in the service are beautiful linen, display dishes, table décor and candles; as well as the table if one isn’t provided by the venue.
Delivery fee is quoted based on the location at $2/km.

All of my cakes have 4 layers of delicious cake interlaced with 3 layers of decadent fillings. This makes the tiers tall and they stand at 7" in height (as a comparison, majority of bakeries only provide 2 or 3 layers of the cake interlaced respectively with 1 or 2 layers of the filling).

I want your cake to make it to your destination in perfect condition. Stacked, multi tiered wedding cakes, are tricky to handle and my cakes are especially tall - that's just how I like them! - so for a novice cake courier, this can pose additional difficulty.
That's why I strongly encourage you to have me handle this chore!

There are a few things you can do to keep your cake safe as you transport it from my studio in Stoney Creek to your celebration:
The safest place for your cake is on the floor of the backseat area of your vehicle. This is an even, flat space with minimal room for the cake box to slide around. Plus, the backseat is temperature controlled so you have a higher chance of keeping your cake nice and cool, and preventing slipping. Avoid putting your cake in your trunk (unless you're driving a CRV type of vehicle with a flat, air-conditioned trunk), on a seat (it would be sloped) or on someone’s lap (sloped and bouncy!).
It’s ideal to have air conditioning that works well to keep your car and cake nice and cool. Your cake is beautiful and I want it to stay lovely from the time you leave my studio to the time it arrives at its final destination. Buttercream is made out of butter, which can soften up as it gets warm. A vehicle with air conditioning that works well will help keep your buttercream cool and prevent it from softening and beginning to melt. Buttercream that is too warm from being in a hot car can slip and slide from bumps, potholes, quick stops and sharp turns.
Drive carefully as your cake is special cargo. Take turns slower than you usually would and avoid bumps and potholes as much as possible.
If you are transporting your cake to a destination that is further than 30-45 minutes away, please let me know so I can take special care to have your cake nice and chilled when you pick it up.

How far in advance should I place my wedding cake or large event order?
I recommend booking at least 3-4 months before weddings, as the wedding season typically books up very quickly and I can only take so many events each weekend. For custom cakes for special events, 2-3 months is always a good amount of time, although if you start planning earlier that's even better!

I just want a simple birthday cake, how much notice do you need?
I do book up fast, so the earlier the better. To order one of my Classic Birthday Cakes it is best to do so at the latest 2-3 weeks before the event, for all custom works please allow more lead time.
What information do you need from me in order to provide a quote?
I am happy to provide you with a preliminary quote by email. Please let me know the following information: your event date, number of guests expected, address of your venue, sample ideas you may have for the style of cake you are looking for, or a mood board for your event, so that I know what type of style you are going for! What forms of payment do you accept?
I accept etransfers (preferred), Visa, Mastercard, Amex, debit and cash. For your convenience, I can set up an interactive invoice for you to be paid online. Once paid, you immediately receive an automated payment receipt to keep for your records.
How does your payment work?
To reserve your event date I do require a deposit, this is usually $150.00, however it may be more depending on the scope of work. Balance for your order is due 1 month before your event, or at pickup if you are picking up from my studio.
What is your cancellation/refund policy?
I only am able to take on a limited number of commissions per weekend, once you reserve your date, this takes up a spot and I may be in a position to refuse another commission.
Cancellation of wedding cakes:
Once the deposit is made, the deposit is non-refundable.
Why is the deposit non-refundable?
Although the cake hasn't been prepared yet, by now we have already exchanged multiple emails, and even possibly covered design details, and have had a consultation or tasting. Since you have booked a spot, I may already have been in a position to decline another order for this date. Deposit covers this labour and the time investment, this is why deposits are non-refundable.
Online Store Orders:
I require one (1) full week notice to cancel an order. Your order will be prepared as originally scheduled otherwise.
No Show Policy:
Your order needs to be picked up during my business hours. If your order remains unclaimed during my business hours, you will have to arrange an alternate pickup date - please get in touch to schedule this.
Should you decide not to pick your order up, there are no refunds.

Please note that I bake to order only and I meet with Clients by appointment only.
My boutique studio and a fully certified home based commercial kitchen are located in Stoney Creek, ON Canada. I am fully licensed with the City of Hamilton and inspected by the Health and Safety Food Department.

Are you nut free, gluten free, vegan?
I am NOT a nut free facility. I am a traditionally trained baker and bake with standard flour and use nuts, so I cannot guarantee that there was no cross contamination. All treats contain eggs and dairy.
